Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026 · Effective on first public release.
1. Eligibility — 18+
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use NrdNst. By using the app you represent that you are 18 or older. We verify date of birth at sign-up and remove accounts that are or appear to be underage.
2. Your account
You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information; impersonation is prohibited.
3. Community rules
You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. In short: no harassment, hate speech, explicit content, spam, scams, impersonation, or underage use. Violations may lead to content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban.
4. User content
You retain ownership of content you post (photos, bio, messages) and grant NrdNst a license to host and display it to operate the service. Photos are reviewed before they're public. We may remove content that violates these terms.
5. Safety & moderation
We provide tools to report and block users, and we review reports and photos. We may suspend or ban accounts at our discretion to protect the community. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user; meet new people safely.
6. Subscriptions — NrdNst Plus
- NrdNst Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple In-App Purchase: $9.99/month or $59.99/year.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel anytime in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Restore prior purchases via Settings → Restore Purchases.
- The free tier includes 20 likes/day (passing is unlimited); Plus unlocks unlimited likes.
7. Side Quests — third-party events
Side Quests lists events (conventions, meetups, and similar) that are organised and run by third parties. NrdNst is a directory: we are not the organiser, promoter, venue, or ticket seller for any event shown in the app, and listing an event is not an endorsement of it.
Accordingly, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Tickets and payments are transactions between you and the organiser or their ticketing provider. NrdNst does not sell tickets and does not process those payments.
- Refunds, exchanges, cancellations, postponements, schedule or venue changes, pricing, and entry or admission decisions are the organiser’s responsibility. Requests for refunds must be directed to the organiser or ticket seller, not to NrdNst.
- Event information may be inaccurate or out of date. Listings are sourced from third parties and imported automatically; always confirm details on the organiser’s official page before travelling or purchasing.
- An NrdNst RSVP is not a ticket and grants no right of entry.
- Attendance is at your own risk. NrdNst is not responsible for anything that happens at, or on the way to or from, an event, or for the conduct of organisers, staff, or other attendees.
- Links leave the app. Third-party sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account anytime in Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This removes you from discovery and deletes/anonymizes your data, subject to limited retention for safety/legal reasons. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
9. User responsibilities
Don't misuse the service: no automated scraping, no circumventing limits or payments, no harming other users, and no illegal activity.
10. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, NrdNst is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or interactions with other users.
11. Changes & termination
We may update these terms or discontinue features. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
